My Approach

As a clinical social worker, I’m dedicated to supporting individuals who are experiencing anxiety and other mental health challenges. At Inclusion Online Therapy, I provide online therapy sessions for adults and facilitate support groups. My  mission is to equip you with the tools that you need to help you manage your anxiety and live life on your own terms, helping you feel more at ease and reclaiming your peace.

Together, we’ll explore why you are experiencing anxiety and develop strategies to address it head-on. Picture a life where you can silence the constant worry, calm your racing thoughts and rediscover peace. I’ll guide you in shifting those habits that no longer serve you and negative self-talk into a positive change.

Therapy for Seniors & Caregiver Stress

I’m Aurora Beauchamp, the Positive Aging Therapist, a bilingual (English and Spanish) registered clinical social work intern (RCSWI) in Florida, specializing in working with older adults, caregivers, and those experiencing anxiety or depression through evidence-based, holistic, and culturally responsive therapy.

As a Positive Aging Therapist, my expertise spans multiple mental health concerns affecting adults. I bring a warm and inclusive approach that honors your identity, values, and personal story. I help clients build practical skills through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for reframing negative thoughts, mindfulness techniques to foster calmness, and solution-focused therapy to navigate life’s challenges. I create a safe, welcoming space for people from all backgrounds, including seniors, caregivers, LGBTQ+ individuals, the Latinx community, and those with disabilities.

I offer convenient telehealth therapy for Florida residents with flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.

Aurora incorporates holistic interventions to help clients feel more at ease, allowing both mind and body to relax.

Aurora supports older adults navigating life changes like retirement, loss, and cognitive changes through positive aging telehealth therapy that fosters resilience and purpose. Her approach addresses geriatric mental health, adjustment to aging, and specialized therapy for seniors experiencing cognitive changes.

Older adults often spend decades prioritizing family, careers, and responsibilities, frequently placing their own emotional needs last. Positive Aging therapy through telehealth provides a safe, supportive space to process life experiences, navigate major transitions, and rediscover meaning and fulfillment during the later years. Mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, grief, and loneliness can manifest as serious psychiatric concerns when left untreated.

Recognizing mental health concerns early prevents escalation and supports successful and positive aging in place. Positive Aging therapy helps older adults enhance well-being, strengthen social connections, regain motivation, and live life to the fullest during their later years.

Common Mental Health Concerns in Older Adults

  • Life transitions and loss of purpose: Retirement, loss of loved ones, identity shifts, and adjusting to new daily routines.
  • Anxiety and depression: Often arising from health concerns, social isolation, uncertainty about the future, or medication changes.
  • Grief and bereavement: Processing significant losses and adjusting to life changes.
  • Chronic illness management: Coping with ongoing medical diagnoses, pain, and health limitations.
  • Cognitive changes: Memory concerns, early-stage Alzheimer’s, and behavioral support needs.
  • Social isolation and loneliness: Withdrawal from relationships and community engagement

Caregiving demands can lead to exhaustion, stress, and emotional depletion, but therapy and support for caregivers can offer a path to renewal. Aurora provides telehealth therapy, helping caregivers manage burnout symptoms like fatigue, anxiety, and isolation. Imagine the possibilities of reclaiming balance, setting boundaries, practicing self-care, and finding joy amid responsibilities.

How can therapy help?

  • Tailored strategies for caregiver stress management.
  • Support for caregivers handling aging parents or loved ones.
  • Tools to prevent caregiver fatigue (Burnout) syndrome and rebuild energy.

How Caregiver Burnout Looks?
The core dimension of burnout develops from unrelieved caregiving stress, leading to a drained emotional state that affects daily functioning and relationships.

  • Emotional numbness or detachment: Feeling “emotionally disconnected from loved ones”.
  • Compassion fatigue or reduced empathy: Difficulty maintaining caring feelings, viewing caregiving as a burden.
  • Irritability, frustration, or anger: Frequent annoyance, snapping at others, or resenting caregiving demands.
  • Hopelessness, sadness, or depression: Persistent feelings of despair, guilt, grief, or weepiness about the situation.
  • Anxiety and constant worry: Overwhelming panic, fear about the future, or feeling burdened all the time.
  • Mood swings or weepiness: Unstable emotions, feeling sad or crying frequently due to emotional depletion.
  • Loss of motivation or interest: Withdrawing from hobbies, social activities, or anything once enjoyable.
  • Difficulty concentrating or feeling trapped: Mental fog, lack of focus, or a sense of life being controlled by caregiving.
