Hang in There

Groups: Our psychoeducational groups are designed to educate our patients about mental health and teach them how to use new healthy coping skills. 

Our groups run for 5 consecutive weeks , once a week for 90 minutes. You can use your insurance plan to pay for most of these groups.

Coping Skills for Anxiety

In this group,you will learn about anxiety and how it affects your brain and body. Every week you will gain new coping skills and engage in experiential activities that will teach you how to  self-regulate.

Communication Skills Group

Knowing how to communicate effectively is important for success.  In this group, patients learn the necessary skills to communicate clearly, express their ideas, listen actively, and build meaningful relationships.

As a participant you will learn a new skill every week to improve your communication and your self-confidence.

ADHD Support Grou

The ADHD support group for adults helps patients navigate some of the challenges they face in everyday life. 

Patients will learn that they are not alone, get ongoing encouragement and information to help them manage daily responsibilities and improve the quality of their lives.

Grief Support Group

This group provides support to people who are going through a grief process and those who have experienced a loss. 

The group acknowledges different types of losses like relationship losses (break up), death of a loved one, inmigration process, immigration, physical losses, and losses resulting from significant trauma. The space encourages participants to have a voice, share their stories, build resilience and accept their new reality.

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Skills Group

This group will introduce patients to Mindfulness based interventions practices and teach them learn how to respond to thoughts, feelings and body sensations.  A typical group session might consist of the following:

  • Starting with a mindfulness practice, such as a body-scan
  • Exploring the theme of the session
  • Engaging in dialogue with other peers
  • Wrapping up with a short mindfulness session.
