Breaking the stigma surrounding mental health in the Latinx and BIPOC communities is crucial. Too often, mental health conditions go untreated due to the prevailing “BS” (Big Stigma) within our families and neighborhoods. Many of us might not even recognize signs of depression or anxiety because they’ve become part of everyday life, and we learn to normalize them.

As members of the Latinx and BIPOC community, we face a unique set of challenges. From dealing with racism and language barriers to struggling with limited access to information and treatment, finding culturally sensitive care can be tough. At Inclusion Online Therapy, we work with individuals who have faced generational trauma, conflict due to navigating two cultures, parentification, code-switching, stigma, and attachment trauma.

Despite our community’s resilience, studies repeatedly show that many of us hesitate to seek the mental health support that we need and deserve.
